Michi
A Culinary Philosophy
Reflected In Each Dish
Michi began in the early 1990s as a small sushi-counter. Michi, the founder, began providing Asian-cuisine to his small pool of customers and was a pioneer in the new wave sushi movement. The combination of unique flavors and refined service lead to the creation of several Michi Sushi restaurants. Coupled with Silicon Valley’s fast-paced environment, Michi developed into the premier, full-service Asian caterer that it is today.
A Culinary History
In 2009, Michi’s sons, Mike and Raphael, continued to innovate the brand by expanding their catering business to offer the Bay Area an alternative to the bland, cookie-cutter catering options. Michi is a true family business, handing down knowledge and skills from one generation to the next including some of our recipes, one of which is five generations old!
After culinary school, Mike found success blending classic Asian flavors with Californian ingredients and a new approach to catering cuisine.
